We're turning the side yard of our home into a year-round outdoor living room — stamped stone underfoot, a fire-lit lounge, and a garden that glows from morning to midnight.
The same ten feet, transformed into something you'd walk past slowly — and never want to leave.
What follows is the vision: the space through a full day, the details that set the mood, and exactly what we'd love to build with the right partner.

Rendered on photographs of our actual side yard — the real house, windows, fence, and trees are preserved — so you can see exactly where this is headed. Conceptual, not construction drawings.

Everything else — the stamped concrete, the flagstone path, the garden and the fire-lit lounge — stays the same. The shade structure is the one open choice, and we'd love each bid to price all three.

A 10 × 20 ft structure attached to the house on posts. Most built-in; likely needs a permit + HOA structure approval.

Large cantilever + freestanding umbrellas. Movable, no permanent structure, simplest permitting.

Patio, garden and lounge with no overhead. Lowest cost; a clean baseline to build from later.
All 49 of the contractor's stamped-concrete patterns from the catalogue, each dropped onto our real patio so you can judge true color and texture in place — the left flagstone path stays, only the main concrete changes. We're leaning lighter (dark concrete bakes underfoot in the Texas sun); the ✓ cool pick tag marks the 23 lighter, cooler-underfoot tones. Click any to enlarge.
Catalogue names shown. Decorative medallions (5-Point Star, Compass Rose, Old World Compass) and border band-tools aren't shown here — they're accents you add on top of any field pattern.

Renderings approximate each stamp pattern & color — get physical samples of your top 2–3 before the pour, since sealer and sunlight shift the final look.
An itemized bid — labor and materials separated, broken out by the sections below, with the shade options priced individually so we can compare and choose.
Please also include: timeline & crew size · whether you pull permits + provide stamped drawings · concrete color/stamp + flagstone samples · 2–3 recent DFW references · warranty · license & insurance.
We'd love to show you the corridor in person and talk through your approach. Reach out any way that's easy — and share whatever bid details you can up front.
